Psyllium Husk
Psyllium is a fiber made from the seed husks of the Plantago ovata plant. It is a form of Hemicellulose Mucilage which is a Polysaccharide comprised of a Xylan backbone linked with Xylose, Rhamnose, Galacturonic Acid and Arabinose. While psyllium is generally regarded as a laxative, research has shown it has multiple benefits for the body. Psyllium helps to promote regular bowel movements without increasing flatulence.

USAGE
Psyllium is safe when used as directed. Since Psyllium has the potential to interfere with the absorption of dietary fats and some medications, it is recommended that you take Psyllium away from all medications and dietary supplements. Separate Psyllium from any medications and supplements by at least 1 hour, longer if possible. Make sure to take Psyllium with sufficient water or liquid to ensure it remains soluble in the digestive tract. I usually recommend taking Psyllium at bedtime unless you are taking medication at that time. Ingesting Psyllium 30-45 minutes before a meal will increase feeling of satiety and promote weight loss.
